About REALLY RADICAL ROBINSON

REALLY RADICAL ROBINSON I started painting and drawing at an early age. I guess it was easy to express myself visually rather than verbally at times.
When I grew up I knew that art was going to be the only profession for me! I started studying at UC Davis. There were some
great teachers but as a freshman they were off limits to me. I tried CCAC, they did not like my style and I was
refused entry that year. So, off I went to UC Santa Cruz. The professors were not that great and none of them gave
me any real instruction or impressed me much, sorry! As I attended college I became fascinated by the mystery of Body Art
and Tattooing. Soon I became super immersed in every aspect of it. I started studying the whole business and after many
bizarre experiences and colorful characters I began work as a Tattoo Artist! It was not easy or at all simple. I have simplified
the whole story because it would take a long time to explain it all. After 20 years of tattooing I was ready for a scene change.
I was ready to slow down or burn out! I took a job working for Trader Joes in the art department drawing chalk boards. It was
great fun! I ate all day and made art. Actually I started to get darned fat, all those tasty cookies, creamy cheeses, salty crackers
and chips. I gained a 100 pounds and eventually quit the job before I died of a heart attack or obesity.
Currently I am a leaf on the river of life, just waiting to dissolve. I have had many art shows and enjoy selling a painting
or two every 10 years or so. Ha Ha.
I am happy doing my art and that is all that matters. Money and fame are great but
superficial. Of course I would not turn any of it down! So bring it on.
